Hi,
my feeling is, that it might be more "fair" if VS- level would be determined by the average of all equipped items (not by highest level item).

 Another benefit: I think on this way (VS by average) you have more possible opponent in coverage (VS +/-5) if you are searching for an online battle...

*)thanks for adding endless vs-cpu mode again (after finishing campain, which was quite nice ;)

The level calculation you describe was in effect for a few days recently.
I was heavily exploited by using extremly high level items and averaging the level of your mech out with some lowest level items.

It resulted in some mechs being able to kill other mechs in the first game turn which is not really funny.
Otherwise higher level players have an extreme advantage because they can "drag down" high level items to lower levels while lower level players have to live with their limted stuff they have at their disposal.

yes, that matchmaking system was brought in discussion by me and other high level players, it was really unfair against low level players, and not really fun

This is the thread:
viewtopic.php?f=405&t=23184

Summary:
Spoiler:
"Is WRONG!
Is not better if the level of matchmaking is based on the item with the highest level?
In this way there is no risk of encountering player with weapons far more advanced ...
I with 2 Pitchfork of doom (lvl 44), Tors lvl 43, Legs lvl 44 and 4 weapon lvl 8, my mechmaking VS is for level 29!
whit my 2 Pitchfork lvl 44, i can bishot the level 29 ... and up!

Is not good"

Ferr3t this idea was already implemented and it was bad.
