I think that it would be nice to have a few more taunts, like a mech stretching, swatting at the drone like it was a bug and stuff like that. also when you win a game it is always the same victory dance. what if you added more variety, the mech could fire it's weapon into the air, raise its hands in the air and shake up and down or something like that.
They all die the same too what if you had variations like the drone crashing into the mech or one big explosion with a mushroom cloud effect?

I also thought about different die-animations myself.
For example the mech not just exploding part by part but e.g. falling over or being blowing to pieces which lie around for a bit of time.

I think you need to add a salute to the actions in with taunt. It would be nice when you had a good battle right before the end you could salute a fellow player.

Signs of respect can add a lot to the game in the absence of a chat system.
