O.K. so with all the talk on here about heat. I will try to impart some tactics to u guys struggling. First off I don't use heat, and I beat them all the time! You must know these heat weapons to beat them. What they do and where they work. For instance; The over flo- if an opponent has 2 of these against me they will rarely get to use them both, because I will re-position myself or them. They work from 3 to 6, so I will simply use a grappling hook w- a stomp. Now I have made it so they can not use a deep drain, or a flame thrower without first re-positioning them self. This takes alot of skill as you also must combine this with cooling yourself, and getting hits in also. But this is where the difference comes between a so-so fighter, and a really good fighter. Also a cool down kit right b-fore you over heat cools you all the way down and then you get an attack and so does your drone! I beat these heat builds with skill all the time, and the pilots more times than not end up saying to me something like"well Played" it takes alot of practice and studying the heat weapons but it absolutely can be done! So they are not overpowered guys. You just can't be lazy when fighting them  If you not only use your stomp, teloport, and everything else as not only an attack but rather as a counter, you will get further. set them up so that one of there moves is used to repossionion themselves and suddenly you have the adv! I hope this helps.....................................Mech On

DanteTwo you shouldn't give solutions how to beat heat when you are using a fully upgraded mech... Let's be honest, if you would play a 'standard' equipped mech like most players do you would scream heat is OP too. It's like having a gun and explaining us how to counter turkeys really...

Dante has most of his stuff at +8 or +9. It's very quick and easy to get all your stuff to say +6, just be leveling and using the money you get to buy boxes and fuse the stuff. Do you really think that the extra fusion makes such a big difference? I've only fused 2 of my items and I have no problems against fully black top guys.
