This hasn't happened in a while, but it just happened again. Every once in a while when I fight against another player, they get very overheated but they don't shut down. Whenever I get overheated I'm forced to shut down. It's just a part of the game. The mech I just fought was up to 134/89 heat...45 points above his limit, but instead of automatically shutting down, he was able to use both of his action points to fire at me. That raised his heat even higher and he STILL didn't shut down on the next turn. Eventually he did use one of his action points to shut down which took him down to about 120-something/89. Then he shot at me again even though he was still very overheated. Why does this happen? Is there some loophole I'm not aware of? Some item in the shop that allows you to do this and I just haven't seen it? I got to a point where I was throwing heat weapons at him just to see if anything I could do would shut him down, and I overheated myself in the process. I automatically shut down numerous times and he won because of it.

I never saw anything like that before.
Look it up in your replays, and watch it - it may have been a display error where he wasnt over his limit, and on the replay it may show up differently.
If it looks the same on the replay, then use a video capture to post in u-tube and lets have a look.

I have seen this several times and it is a display error during the match where the heat indicator does not display the correct value. The actual heat capacity is shown correctly on the replay.

Ah-ha! As I suspected.
Thanks for the clarification Niko.

Glad... It was a display error... We don't want any more bug... In this game....since last one was a pain.

Yea, It must have been display...

I hate that I keep losing my winning streak to players who disconnect themselves... nothing more annoying than having an 50+ winstreak snapped without even fighting the battle.
