So, I just logged in and some changes were made to the weapons. I'm a little annoyed that Knockback seems to have been added in many places, including some of the guns I had equipped. It changed the entire balance of my strategy, and now I basically am going to have to blow a ton of money to buy new guns. Was that intentional to sell credits? Not cool. :?

The increase in push weapons is supposed to make players move more and be less stationary. As always, we are experimenting. If this would prove to be a bad choice, we will revert it.

And it has nothing to do with us wanting players to spend money. On the other hand, this update was made to help a lot of players who claimed that the fact that they didn't pay money made them significantly weak.

Hi there,

you may have seen that we removed all tokens of the weapons. That means that you can get them for free without spending a single buck. Of course, as they are already named 'rare' - they are just rare :)

I can see your point that you have to adapt to a whole new strategy, but on the bright side, you are not alone.

If you can change your strategy more fast and use the changes better than your opponents, you'll be fine for sure.

Good luck!

edit: Liran beat me by posting... :?

I think the best way to make players be less stationary is to make one moving per turn for free, so the players could move every turn without losing on action point (maybe with a bigger arena).

i m totally agree with the new patch....all for no real cash....but many weapons especially top weapons have knockback....i guess it was better that they dont have knockback

I also don't like the new knockback

Not too sure of the rare weapons, rich high level players can go back and build a mostly rare itemed low level mech, which first time players have no chance against.
Maybe set a limit to one rare buy per level or something.

I have to say that adding the knockback to weapons that did not have it before has not impressed me. I prefer to not have knockback weapons for the most part and now all of a sudden all the weapons I had equiped now have knockbacks.

Kind of lame, just my opinion and I understand you guys are trying new things, so just putting in my two cents. So my vote would be put the weapons back to the way they were. Making so many changes so fast I think is a poor means of testing.

Just my thought but take tokens out no problem but making all the weapon changes at the same time does not give a good testing of a change.

I'm all for trying stuff out, but when you change to many things you lose your control group and can't really tell what works and what doesn't. That's part of scientific testing. Also, making almost everything knock back is really defeats the idea of having to move, since eventually most everyone is going to long range equip and just get knocked back and return fire. If you want to force people to be mobile, i'd tweek the weapon damages to strong at short range, weak but cheap at mid range, and medium at long so you have to get close to do big hurt, or arrange to stay back and chip away at your opponent.
