hi - i encounter many players, of lower levels, with very large amounts of hit points.

are there other ways to increase hit points (other than the provided parts)?

The only parts which affect hit points are:
Torsos
Legs
Armor platings

Yup, certain parts have far many HP than others. Have a look around the shop (:

Worry not, once you get to a higher level (35+), you are better off using resistance modules over HP-boosting items, although battle becomes far more tedious like that
