From what I know from the game this is correct. You do not gain/lose ranks with every match. Especially when you get into the top 200, then your rank advancement slows down significantly

no, it used to be when I didnt lose/gain rank the rank would not even appear on the reward screen. And this happens with every battle. I am sure I would lose/gain rank on some battles

For the time being, we dont show rank increase or decrease after battles.
Rank gets recalculated once per hour.
