My research paper this year has to be based on the question, "Is technology a blessing or a curse?". So I was hoping that you guys could give me some ideas as to what I could write about.

So basically, it would really help me out if you guys could post what you think is currently the most controversial invention/research. I was thinking of using nuclear research and practices as my topic, but I'm open to other ideas :)
