You just copied that from Wikipedia didn't you?

I meant a definition that would illustrate weather unbalance x unbalance was or was not ecchi,

Quote:
it is used with the meaning of "dirty", "naughty", "frivolous";

Quote:
sexual themes or undertones

Quote:
playful usage of sexualized imagery

All of which describe unbalance x unbalance, so I don't see why people are saying it's not ecchi.

er... the definition of "ecchi" is different from ppl to ppl, some can say having a little bit of panties exposure is ecchi, while some even when naked (with censorship) it's not yet ecchi.

even dragonball has nudity and it isn't ecchi, the description is too vague.

The description wasn't just 'nudity = ecchi', it was more along the lines of 'ecchi = use of sexual themes, undertones or imagery to a mild extent.[2][3]'

And while Dragonball has nudity, it's not heavy in use of sexual themes/undertones/mild imagery, so is not ecchi.
Personally, I think the style of art can also be a factor (the women in unbalance x unbalance being 'very well proportioned', and often wearing tight/short/revealing or otherwise 'enhancive' clothing).

How would you define ecchi then Tenkai?

blatant sexuality just because/softcore porn (e.g. kissxsis). the use of sexuality felt more tasteful and less "just because" than alot of manga/animes. as for their outfits, that's pretty commonplace in all animes so that isn't very valid.

this is all my opinion ofc.

But that's like saying if the sexual themes/undertones of an ecchi have plot relevance, then it's not ecchi.

I disagree with the outfit style being common place amongst anime/manga.

I know how you feel. Half of what I post doesn't get a response (although most of what I post is rubbish anyway, so whatever).

In my opinion, an ecchi anime is one that simply follows this criteria.

The main protagonist is commonly put in situations that are embarrassing for himself and a female which he finds attractive. e.g I wouldn't count Yosuga no Sora as ecchi.
