I mostly watch Shounen and not other Genres so my favourite animes are:

Fairy tail, Naruto, Bleach, FMA, Code Geass, Death Note, Toradora, Clannad, Beelzebub, Katekyo Hitman Reborn, Angel Beatz and Hayron Nyakosan :D

I can best describe slice of life as "things that can actually happen" the problems in these animes are focused around things that can happen to everyday people in the real world and are usually pretty serious and involve some sort of comedy. Toradora is probably a good example of a slice of life.
