K well since everybody is posting stories I'm going to post mine, since I love attention. Mine doesn't have a title, and I just started, but here goes.

Every six or seven minutes the dog would stop to sniff the ground and mark its territory, and this impeded the old man's progress. The dog who's name had been long ago lost to time's fervent march, and the old man, who's name had also fallen to the same destructive force, had a deadline to keep, and these constant and infuriatingly helpless stops were threatening to destroy what the old man had worked so tirelessly to achieve.

Even now he could feel the air thickening, could hear the sand crying as life's frail, sickly grip came loose, and the wind screamed and howled like a banshee in sexual climax. The eye and its body drew ever closer. The beast brought with it it's own brand of homicidal darkness that swallowed whole every thing it touched, living or inanimate. It was chasing the old man and his dog, and it was gaining quickly.
