Role analysis: This is crap because i'm so lazy.

Spoiler:
The main concept behind this game was that town would be really, really undercommunicated. Town had insanely overpowered roles, which were simply not realized, but also two roleblockers that were intended to block town most of the time. However, this concept went to hell when the two most powerful roles in town had no idea what to do, and Apollo and Pblee failed to do anything useful with their night action. Let us start with an examination of the roles…

Dear w1lll,
You are the Update Glitch. You are a part of the Assorted Bad Things. Your team’s role pm’s are in a separate message.
As a notorious bad thing that happens during certain updates, everyone hates you. Players hate you because you cost them resources, and Admins hate you because of the huge amounts of flack they get from players because of you. Even your own parents, the developers, hate you. By the way, you were adopted. Your parents thought this would be the best way to tell you.
However, because of your glitching capabilities, once during the game, you can PM the host with a message “Night X, Ability Swap [user]”. For the rest of the game, you will glitch their role to become yours, and your role be replaced by your target’s, and vice versa. Once you use this ability though, the ability passes on to your target and you will no longer be able to swap abilities. But you won’t be a glitch anymore, so that will be nice.
Your team wins when the Assorted Bad Things eliminate all threats.

This role, unfortunately, was never used as will was offed by Teller fairly quickly. This role was probably the largest misplay on the part of the mafia. Apollo (will get to later) was actually investigated by the scumteam, and scums should have tried to swap with Apollo. Unfortunately, they, much like Apollo himself, never realized the power of that role, and thus this concept was never realized.

Dear Dawnice,
You are a Multi. You are a part of the Assorted Bad Things. Your team’s role pm’s are in a separate message.
You are the bane of Battledawn. Every server is full of you, you are everywhere, you are invincible. Well done in pissing everyone else off. Also, please make sure that when you reply, you use this account, and not any other multi accounts.
You are a multi, meaning that you are several multis. As a result of this, every vote in your day lynch will be counted as 2, as you will be able to use your other multis to vote also. This ability will be innate, cannot be deactivated and does not be activated. Additionally, every night you can PM the host with a message “Night X, Kill [user]”. You will log on to a world and spam the heck out of a person. As a result, they will ragequit and die. Because of your ability to kill a person during night, if you die in the game, you will be able to transfer this multi’ing ability to someone else alive in your faction.
Your team wins when the Assorted Bad Things eliminate all threats.

Oh my god I hated myself for creating this role. The day lynch modifier ended up changing the game by so much it was unbelievable. Not only did Dawn single handedly prevent himself from being lynched by Omega/Maolain by counterlynching pblee, but passing on the killing role allowed GP to win game for scum.

Dear Goldenpaw
You are the trolling no. You are a part of the Assorted Bad Things. Your team’s role pm’s are in a separate message.
You are a troll, plain and simple. Suggestions that have been well thought out by members of the community are cruelly shot down by you, silently, without remorse. Go screw yourself. How do you sleep at night, amongst the graveyards of dead ideas?
As the trolling no, you are very capable of saying no. In fact, you are so capable that, if you wish, once during the game, you are able of denying a lynch by PM’ing the host before deadline or majority with the message titled “Day X, Deny Lynch”. Unfortunately, because of the advanced technology of the admins we have now, you will be caught, publically revealed as a Mafia, unable of using any other night abilities, and can only wait for the town to lynch you. Alternatively, every night, you may also PM the host with the message titled “Night X, persuade [user] to vote [user]”. You can also be capable of persuading other people of voting a certain way next day during the lynch. That user will be forced to vote for your target, and they will not know who you are.
Your team wins when the Assorted Bad Things eliminate all threats.

Unfortunately, the lynch deny was never realized. One of the major misplays of the game was the waste of the persuade on night 0, as it was used on dawn. What GP could have done instead was persuade someone useful and tell Dawn to pretend he’s been persuaded. Also, persuade should have been used on a person to persuade him/herself to be more efficient. Protip.

Dear Shelton,
You are an Account Sharer. You are a part of the Assorted Bad Things. Your team’s role pm’s are in a separate message.
My god we hate you. When you are about to lose, you go into all of your alliance’s accounts and send their troops to your colony. 12 full armies. Yeah, the attacker is screwed, but everyone will know you as an account sharer, even if it wasn’t proven by the admin because supposedly, everyone went to your house that night for a party.
As an account sharer, you are able to summon mass troops to your base. Similarly, every night, you may choose to message the host titled “Night X, protect [user]”. That user will be protected by the massive armies you will send to their base, and all killing actions targeting that person will fail on that night. However, since the troops take a long while to return to their own bases, and since the people whose accounts you used will be very angry, you can only use this once every 3 nights. Alternatively, on each night you are able to message the host titled “Night X, Investigate [user]”. Because of your abilities to get people to trust you with their passwords, you are also capable of going to people’s beds at night and coaxing them in telling you their entire role PM. When they wake up, they will have no recollection of you being there.
Your team wins when the Assorted Bad Things eliminate all threats.

Standard detect/protect.

Dear dylsupreme
You are an annoying eight year old. You are a part of the Assorted Bad Things. Your team’s role pm’s are in a separate message.
HEY BRO. YOU ARE FRIGGIN ANNOYING IN WORLD CHAT. IT’S WORSE IF YOU’RE IN MY ALLIANCE. EVERYONE HATES YOU. YOU’RE NOT AS POPULAR AS YOU THINK. GO GET A LIFE.
YOU BUG PEOPLE IMMENSELY. AS A RESULT, EVERY NIGHT, YOU WILL BE ABLE TO BUG OR MESSAGE THE HOST ENTITLED “Night X, Bug [user]”. THAT USER WILL BE EXTREMELY BUGGED BY YOU AND THUS WILL BE UNABLE TO CARRY OUT THEIR NIGHT ACTION.
ALSO, YOUR POSTS ON THE GAME THREAD MUST BE EXTREMELY ANNOYING, STUPID, OR IN ALL CAPS. WITH CONSIDERATIONS TO YOUR FUTURE IN THE GAME, I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM ALL BEING IN ALL CAPS.
Your team wins when the Assorted Bad Things eliminate all threats.

This guy was inactive.
--------------
Dear Teller.
You are Kenny. You are aligned with yourself.
A legend of the battledawn forums and possible the coolest person ever to walk the lands of this kingdom, you are able to do almost everything. Because of your sociable nature, you are naturally good at learning about other people. Every night, you may choose to message the host entitled “Night X, Inspect [user]”. That user will be coaxed into spilling their role PM to you, and have no recollection of doing such. Also, if you inspect a mason or the mafia, you will be granted the opportunity to contact them through the methods outlined in the rules. Alternatively, every night you may also choose to troll a user to oblivion. If you choose to message the host entitled “Night X, Troll [user]”, that user will be trolled to insanity, and die. However, because you still have a heart, you can only troll once every two nights. Additionally, during each day, you may choose to message the host entitled “Day X, Negate [user]”. You will be able to use your sociable skills to subconsciously persuade a user to negate their vote. They will still believe they have voted, but that vote will not be counted.
You win if Mafia or Village dies before you.

So this was the wolf role. I personally really enjoyed the inspect/troll alternation, and the option of contacting scum/mason. However, this was, like many cool roles in the game, never used. Teller came off as scum to basically everyone, but due to his erratic playstyle nobody could read him properly.
Dear Pbleebait,
You are the trusted, peaceful alliance[b]. You are aligned with the Players With Virtue.
You are that innocent alliance that makes friends with everyone and never gets on anyone’s bad side. We all love you, which is why you manage to glide to third, or maybe even second place. You often use the excuse “just watching” to cover your incompetence.
Because you are trusted, you are able to prove your innocence to other players. Every night, you can PM the host with a message entitled “Night X, prove to [user]”. That user, if a villager, will be [b]informed in the morning that you are also aligned with the village
. Furthermore, people that you have contacted will be able to communicate with yourself and each other through methods specified in the rules. However, if the user is not with the village, nothing will happen. You will be informed of whether or not the user contacted was village or not in the morning. Additionally, because the host loves you so much, he has granted you the ability of not being able to be lynched for the first round. This means that if you are lynched in the first round, you must PM the host with either a message entitled “Redirect lynch to [user]”, which will cause that user to be lynched, or a message entitled “No lynch”, which will cause a no lynch to take place for that round. Also, you will be protected from being killed in night 0.
You win if the Players With Virtue eliminates all threats.

Pblee is an ass. He idled his night action EVERY SINGLE ROUND. AS THE RECRUITING MASON. Argh. This role is arguably what gave town a fighting chance in my opinion. I…don’t even want to talk about this.

Dear Apollo,
You are the innocent noob. You are aligned with the Players With Virtue.
Awww…we love innocent noobs, unlike annoying 8 year olds. You are inquisitive, clever, and most of all, cute. And as such, everyone loves you, including the host.
Every night, you will be able to message the host titled “Night X, statement”. You will then be able to enter a statement in the body of the message. The following day, the host will reply to your cute message, as no one can resist cute puppy eyes. The incorrect parts or words of the statement will be highlighted.
You win if the Players With Virtue eliminates all threats.

Overpowered #2, but unfortunately not realized. There were so many creative things to ask with this, including several questions that could have broken the game entirely. Apollo, being the stupid drunk that he is, decided to ask “GP is town.” Sigh…

Dear Omega ,
You are the noble player. You are aligned with the Players With Virtue.
Noble players are tough to find, which is why you are so special. You fight not to win, but for the honor and glory of your teammates and yourself. You value NAPs like no others.
Because of this, you are able to, once in the game, PM the host with the message “Night X, Suicide [user]”. You will be able to suicide your squads onto that user because he has insulted your honor or your ally’s. You, of course, will die, but so will that user, and justice will be served.
You win if the Players With Virtue eliminates all threats.

Standard suicide, priority means that it outspeeds all other night actions. Major contributer to the final night chaos (stupid maolain).

Dear Tenkai,
You are the just watching colony. You are aligned with the Players With Virtue.
We love just watching colonies, because they’re conquers that never get deleted. You are submissive by nature, but you are also very good at watching. The game that is, not…you and your dirty mind.
Every night, you are able to PM the host with a message titled “Night X, watch [user]”. You will intently watch that user throughout the night and write down exactly what you see him do. Because we often forget where we put those just watching colonies, you will promptly lose your notes, but you will also be able to remember what you saw in the morning.
You win if the Players With Virtue eliminates all threats.

WHY DID TENKAI GET NK NIGHT 0. WHY, WHY, WHY. The idea behind this role was that when Tenkai died, all of his logs would be published, which would have a potentially huge impact on the game. However, those stupid Mafia killed off my favorite role (actually, Mafia and Wolf both NKd Tenk, lol).

Dear Maolain,
You are the just for lolz colony. You are aligned with the Players With Virtue, but also have a separate win condition.
You are just for lolz. We lolz at lolz. And thus, your weird aim for this game is slightly different. Although you are aligned with the village, you will also try to spook all living players that are not aligned with the village. If you do so, you win. Every night, you may PM the host with the message “Night X, spook [user]”. That user will be spooked. You do not know if you spooked a village-aligned person or a non-village aligned person, but you spooked them. If you win, you will be informed, but since nobody takes you seriously the game will go on. As a sad side effect of winning, you will also die.
You win if the Players With Virtue eliminates all threats, or if you have spooked all living players that are not aligned with the village.

Random Win Condition ended up losing town the game. More on this later.

Dear LC,
You are the broadcast and forum wh*re. You are aligned with the Players With Virtue.
You are entertainment, quite simply. You crave attention, and since you’re too ugly to do this in real life, you try to do so here. A natural at broadcasting their views, every night you may PM the host with the message, “Night X, Broadcast”. In the body of the message, you may write a single sentence that complies with forum and game rules that will be shared with the world in the morning. You will get the attention you deserve. Feel free to make it lolable.
You win if the Players With Virtue eliminates all threats

Pretty useless on its own, but when combined with mason intel, could be pretty damn broken.

Dear Flash9k,
You are Simmen. You are aligned with the Players With Virtue.
You are norweigian, which makes you fat, stupid, and really, really pink. You also sing terrible music. As such, every night you will be able to PM the host with a message titled “Night X, Sing to [user]”. That user will be so distracted by the terrible singing that they will try to come after you and completely forget about what they were going to do. As such, they will be unable to carry out their night action. For a fat pink pony, you also run pretty fast, so you won’t suffer any injuries, nor will they see your face.
You win if the Players With Virtue eliminates all threats

Standard RB. Intended to RB town more often than not.

Dear Ferr3t,
You are a Moderator. You are aligned with the Players With Virtue.
Nobody likes moderators, but at least they have ‘virtue’. You are hated by everyone on the forums, believe it or not. Stop locking threads, btw. Nobody likes that.
While you can ban players, because of your virtues you choose not to for this game. However, you are still able to cheat using IP checks to find out what the other player is doing. Every night, you may PM the host with a message entitled “Night X, Suspect [user]”. As such, you will be able to find out what faction that user is aligned with. Due to the terrible quality of your own computer, you can’t narrow it down more.
You win if the Players With Virtue eliminates all threats

Detective

Dear Santa Muerte,
You are Red Tokens. You are aligned with the Players With Virtue.
Zomg, we friggin love red tokens. Not only are they the only way for players to not die in the beginning of the game, they are becoming more and more a requirement for an alliance to win. Some people live on red tokens. Watch out for people who try to eat you.
Every night, you can choose to display yourself prominently to a user. If you choose to PM the host with a message titled “Night X, Entice [user]”, that user will be so in love with your luscious body that they will be unable to complete their night role and instead chase after you. Damn, you sexy thing.
You win if the Players With Virtue eliminates all threats

See: Flash9k

Dear Awesomeone,
You are ProBuild. You are aligned with the Players With Virtue.
Everybody knows the probuild of battledawn. 9 armor, 21 range. As a result, you are good. In fact, you are very good. In fact, you are so good that your vote in the day lynch, as a result of their effectiveness, will count as 2 votes. People need to use you more.
You win if the Players With Virtue eliminates all threats

Combating all those cool tricks Mafia/Wolf gets with the day lynch

Dear Nick,
You are the world admin. You are aligned with the Players With Virtue.
You are the defender of the game, the last stand, the prima uno, the big gun. You help us protect our game, our community. Thank you for your contributions.
Once in the game, you can choose to PM the host with the message “Night X, give blues to [user]”. As a result of this, that user will be given blues. This will allow them to perform much more effectively for the rest of the game, and their votes will count as 2 votes, but they will not know this. Thanks, man. Choose carefully…
You win if the Players With Virtue eliminates all threats

Nick didn’t do anything with this, lol.

OK. So now for the interesting part.

My god I hate myself for not subbing out pblee. The idea in this game was that mafia would have to control town from day 1, but for each night that they miss the mason, town would grow stronger and stronger with the flow of information. Pblee tried to recruit GP on n0, but was informed he was scum. He proceeded to idle the entire game. Words cannot describe my anger.

A couple really interesting things happened in this game. The first one was the crazy coincidence that both Teller and Dawn tried to off Tenkai on night 0, which benefited town a lot. However, a huge move was pulled by flash on d1 of gambiting GP scum, which turned out to be correct. He didn’t have info that GP was scum, but it was a gambit, that due to a pretty bad town, got shot down and counterlynched. Even more crazy: Apollo, Liam, Pblee, all found out that GP was scum by day 2. It was ridiculous how GP was never lynched. Completely ridiculous. Pblee played so terribly that he deserves a special mention, in his comment that “Scum or not, I want GP to stay!!!!” I was shocked.

But anyways, Day 1 was pretty crazy. With all honesty, GP should have been lynched Day 2 with any good town, but he wasn’t. It’s a pity that instigator Maolain didn’t come into the game early. Town was in some serious need of leadership. The only pro-town idea I’ve seen come up before Maolain came in was Will’s suggestion of a mass soft claim, and he was scum. Omega’s lynch reasons were absolute crap, it was basically follow the bandwagon and lynch those who talk too much. I find it amusing the amount of messages I’ve gotten complaining about his gameplay.

Town lost basically the first 3 cycles, but started coming back with the crossfire of will/teller, and the godkill of Dyl. Maolain then really entered the game, and he led the lynch against scum Shelton. At that point in time, the game was surprisingly balanced with only GP and dawn on scumteam, and could have easily gone either way. However, the major errors from that point…

Not going back and looking at the two people who publically accused GP.
Lynching Pblee (although I see how it makes sense following the Shelton idling strategy)
THAT FINAL NIGHT.

That final night was awesome. Here’s what happened…
1. Omega suicide into Dawn. Normally, this would have won the game for town, enough said. Not only did he take out the killer and thus prevented a town NK, but he also blew the door wide open for a GP lynch after seeing the two buddy the entire game (plus Maolain’s really accurate assumption of Omega/Tenk town—where’d you get that anyways?).
2. Maolain won the game. Ironically, this lost the game for town as they went down to 1 v 1 Scum.

I’m so tired and none of this made sense. I’ll edit tomorrow.

To tell the truth, I'm amazed how more mafia didn't die earlier (yes, I had low confidence)

They died of pretty random reasons, really
