I'd have to say either Mitsuki, or OrlandoKev from FEAR.
Both have proven to be nearly invincible, and amazing team players.
(perfect example of this, is several eras ago on e2, Mitsuki while leading the rank 8, took down the rank 1 alliance with little to no help from any other alliances)

It depends on how you classify 'best' players. Are they those who have taken rank 1 player on multiple occasions? Are they those who have shown insane activity? Are they those who have shown us some of the best techniques and strategies? There are 'best' players for each of these aspects. Therefore no 'best' player exist.
The only way to find out who truly is the 'best' player is to dump them all into a 1/2 tick per hour solo world. No boosting, conquerers or mines. And see them fight it out. No strategic locations either. Just 1 flat map. With 20 players or so who think they have what it takes to be the best. And see who wins.

i know a few players who could be put up as the best i couldn't choose a single one player but here is list of players who always do really well. their always in rank 1 alliance and always doing good beign ranked in the top and kicking some ass Francium / StrawberryMargarita Soldierz of Fortune / SoF Mandingo Gollum Santa Muerte Sage Loon how ever, we all know that if you take a step in fantasy and ask who is the best player you will get a million shouts of one name who? Lain everyone seems to think she's the best, and she is a bit over rated. i played along side her on E5 (jsut as allies of course) and the rank 1 player backed down after fighting her. He stopped attacking her and even apologized! you have to be good for the strongest guy in the world to quiver in fear when their more then twice as strong as you  ultimately i would give the title of best player to Francium though. i put myself on the list just for fun and too see the reaction it would create  i know i'm not the best, but that doesn't mean i cant have a little fun right?

This is exactly why im of ANY use at all i'm to inactive to make a real fighting effort, and i'm nowhere near the being one of the best or even good players. I can just handle the diplomatic side of discussions better then most.

well we all recognize jett as a good player for some reason (i've never actually seen him do anything he just seems to be all talk and no actions ) but still we should put together a criteria of what a player needs to eb the best
