oh they made a new spam. a lot of old posters were mad at staff. a load of crap if you ask me.

Thats not why the board was deleted. We recently decided that we wanted to disable post count for that section, but disabling this was not retroactive.

I was advised by some moderators that it would make sense to delete the board and start over in light of this decision as the end goal is to provide incentive for constructive community participation but offer a place that is a bit more 'free from form' to play around in. So it had already been decided before things really started to break loose. Sorry for doing it when I did, but I really just wanted to get on with it so I could do some more community oriented stuff and then move on to admin the servers I am late for.

The good news is that with being able to disable post count in that section, we can relax on over-regulation in that section which might go far to increase he ability to maintain free form. Of course, being completely useless and without creativity should still be discouraged. I mean, it should at least be interesting to read, right? :geek:

Anyway, there is actually a contest related to that section to promote activity there and I will be mass announcing all 3 of the contests in a global announcement linking to each of them which will then be mass announced by admin message in each server. So, it is safe to assume that you can expect some new blood to arrive soon and not a moment too soon. As admin you get to meet some people that are cool as ice and havent really ever set foot in the forum before. I am eager to give them a reason to come and hang out and be cool and have fun. A good number of them are knowledgeable about the game too, which is all the more reason to have them come and hang out!

Ive been slowly chipping away at this and several other plans over the course of the last 4-6 weeks actually and only now is everything starting to come together not just with mutual staff relations on my end, but with my family/personal/health stuff as well.

Anyway. Yeah. Spam started over

Well, its not my position to argue with the BD staff, but I dont think that we should have deleted Spam. It took years to get all of that and some players who posted will not be comming back. So all there work is gone :/

Well, i do not want to argue but i am just pointing out that part of the reason of deletion of spam was to make users not see the topic, what a coincidence to erase spam after a conflict to make users not know of what happened.
Only Tom advisaed that, i think. The other mod spammers wouldve not approved, i guess.

Umm, Venstro, Kenny and the others complained.
Yeah, i'll miss some of them.

hmm that would explain why i all the sudden saw my post count go way down when i come and pay a visit o well this is kind of a disapointment but spam was dead and people just came here to get their post count up with stupid comments so mayb it is for the best anyhow old friends that are still around good luck and send me an occasional msg i might just come back after a while

poor seth though i know he wants me gone :lol:
