guys if u dont know much about advanced graphics: try to search the net for high resolution images , then crop the image. also when u enlarge small images they look really bad. try to get something done that looks ok to look at. when u resize and crop images think of the best way to fit it to the 500 x 150 sig size. then just go for things like hue/saturation,brightness/contrast and stuff. dont just paste images done by others directly without doing a bit of cropping and editing. when i am making a signature i do it to the 500 x 150 size.i dont do it in a smaller scale then enlarge it to the needed size. also instead of just google searching try searching http://www.deviantart.com ,, http://www.photobucket.comDONT PUT IMAGES MADE BY OTHERS AS IT IS. hope that was good enough advice..let me know if u disagree with me.
