And If your raised Atheist then ur raised Atheist. But that was not one of ur points. I was raised without religion. Sure, my parents believe in God, but they never went to church or anything. But now i go to Church every sunday. It isnt always how ur raised.

Why isn't a person who does things out of peer pressure "Not really" that type of person? If someone claims to be an atheist because it's trendy, why aren't they really atheists?

I said most Christians, not all... There are converts to every idea on this planet, but most people believe the things that the people around them believe. It saves people time and lets them focus on more important things like living life.

There is a difference between doing something because it is trendy, and pretending to blend in.

If everyone around me is doing it, it must be right == trendy

The reason that people arent atheists under peer pressure, is becuase, in most situations, they don't really believe it. A lot of those types on atheists are secretly Catholic, Christian, Protestant etc. They simply say they are in front of their friends so they don't look like "uncool"

Two questions then.

1. Are people who go to church because it's cool, or because their family makes them not really deists?

2. Do you have some device which lets us read people's minds to know WHY they are claiming to be atheists?

I just did. I don't mind the debate you two are having, but please be respectful of each other so some degree.
I'm just observing and getting answers. What I've gotten so far is that atheists are atheist because of the trend, which you say doesn't make them atheist, or because of being raised atheist.
Why, though, would a Christian convert to atheism?

A Christian may convert to Atheism because of a personal loss. Like a close relative dying, and they think "If there was a God, He would not let this happen".
