Here's a tip on how to conquer a lot of players! As soon as the player(s) are out of protection, scan 'em, and throw units at 'em ! Works for me, I have 4 players under my control, it's like the element of surprise ! Use this strategy! 8-)

Like the element of Long Surprise. Takes a few tick to reach the target. =P

Should also leave at least 3 soldiers and 2 vehicles for anti-nub defense. Dont want to launch then come back 4 tick to see you were conquered

You can also make a settlement somewhere else so incase theres a ton of units going your way then you can just relocate a little near where you sent most of your units at especially when they are sent to conquer someone so they come back and you cheaply escaped doom for yourself.

I got lucky so far and my units came back from conquering someone in the nick of time to protect my colony. I actually profited from the attack since the guy only sent a bunch of infantry.

another useful tip..

To take crystals from people you have already conquered.
Eventually the noob you have conquered is gonna build thier core extractor.. make sure you have an outpost within three ticks of you.. when they build the crystal.. force relocate them to that outpost and attack them.

It avoids someone else taking credit for all your hard work :)

do you still get crystals for building a core extractor?
I thought they changed it to when you get 30 power?
or do you get it for both?

not sure if this will help but incase if your about 2 get conquered and the squads r on their way u should do this........like when the squads r 3 ticks away from ur colony u should send all ur units 2 attack his/her colony and u end up conquering them

Typically getting many colonies under your control from the get go, involves a few different strategies.

First:
Selection, as in where you build your colony. If you build in an area where more people are expected to build at (i.e. North America, Europe) you can have more colonies under your control earlier. However you risk having problems with other colonies trying the same strategy , and you may get conquered. So I suggest building somewhere that's just half as good. Personally on the E1 new client I built in Indonesia (Top of TheStack is my colony name) and took about 10 colonies within the first two days. Since then i've doubled it.

Second:
Getting out there as fast as you can, meaning getting your structures built, and building some units. This doesn't mean you need to use the jump protection button, as I didn't, but if a lot of colonies around you are getting out before you, you may want to consider doing it. Always make sure to build damage rather than vehicles, unless you happen to donate.

Last:
Keeping yourself protected. Always leave a good all around squad on your colony, at all times. If not, make sure you can check every tick until your squads come back to prevent an attack on you. I personally suggest keeping your squads in the early going from exceeding an ETA of 12-14 to prevent major lengths of attack. Keeping a few armor units in your damage and even range squads prevents newbs from massing infantry to take you down.

Anyways, hope that helps a few people, if not message me here. Or you can talk to me on MSN

Abouth the second part
By donating i suggest range inf , as the are stronger then veh's :P (in price compensation) and never ever start whit veh's (unless donating , but otherwiss not!) anti-v dmg inf will melt those veh's easy (no donating = no dmg veh when out of protection )
