Money replaces lost activity and gives you an edge over others for more income, nothing more. As for strategy, the game really has none. Its move ur units here or there, its not difficult anymore.

This update is forcing the BD #1 rule, ACTIVTY, you don't have it then your nothing; no matter what you boost. Any of you who know my BD history, i can say ive never put a penny into this game. Been a free player for nearly 5 yrs. I don't believe in boosting, it think its a waste of money to put in this game, so i don't.

All in all, if you don't like this update, well then stop boosting, don't suppport something that you think hurts you. Just play as any regular non boosting player, such as I. You can play free and still do well against others. Like i said, just requires more activity if your a non-booster. Many can't meet the demand anymore, so they rely on boosting to fill that gap. Time to pick up more activity players of BD. If you can't, well then leave, its simple as that.

To rebalance this to prevent power gamers having a serious advantage so fast with advanced units and tech we are going to increase the build time(Cost will be staying the same at this point) on some or all level 4 and 5 structures.

I don't get this. If you want to raise the time for these structures, I think you should do it by ticks, not seconds. If you raise the time, in 1 tick p. hour worlds, it wouldn't make a difference.

I dont see a problem with these updates guys, (prepare for rage because I cannot stand incompetent people) If you can read on a second grade level you'll notice you can still trade red tokens. I agree with psg, though. Crystals should provide more benefits since they wont be so abundant. However, psg, i believe they'll add some kind off new resource like "booster metals". They will be used first in production, and cannot be traded.

Now, in all seriousness, you are ruining the game. Not because of this, though, I support this update. I will defend this update. However, Andrew, at your next meeting bring this up:
Why the hell do you have so much godamn worlds? Is it necessary to have 7+ worlds for each theme? It is a WASTE of not only money, but time. Youre staff is overextended and if you hire more people your finances would suffer horribly.

If you cut back on your worlds, you will have more money. People wont leave because they have a few less worlds. I'd much rather see more focus in updates then in worlds. Until I see that, no money is to be made from me.

honestly i think the crystal this is just blatently dumb oh yes this guy farmed out 10 crystals and only makes an extra 2 metal and oil whoopdie do that is such a tragedy especially when you consider that because of this there will be very few crystals in every world so it will end up like the ES servers.........

i think that the crystals power should be lowered to 30 as the percentage of colonies that acually get cystals before giving up im guessing is about half

or keep the crystals the same as power really shows how strong the player really is anyway crystals just support income but it doesn't say that the player knows what to do with the boosted income

and also say im a new player who gets a crystal a score 200 thats plus 10% to my score

but with 300 score its only 6.6% plus to my score

so i say that if the crystal getting is raised to 400 score then the crystal should give the owner 40 score as they are now rarer and it should not effect income

its just my oppion

ok i dnt go around boosting all era when i do cause there is no need for it. i boost in the begining usually first 100 ticks or so than i spent enough to put myself in a good place to go and get lots of conqurs and crystals. now by everyone saing biger gaps and cooldowns and no boosting 1st 100 ticks is truly going to change the game for the worst. the whole reason people boost is to get an "advantage" in the game so that they can expand quicker, conquer more, get a bigger economy faster, and try to take number one. now if u guys want to get rid of all this may as well make it so no one can boost cause i dnt see a point with all this

No offense to my brother Andrew, I think that he was a bit hasty in posting this thread while we are still in such stages of debate over the whole issue (or issues as it were).

I think with all of administration having been so quiet lately, when we all got together and started this debate and addressing this issue, it all began to happen too fast. Personally, I think we are being too hasty with trying to draw up quick fixes and get them thrown in.

None of us here on either side can say exactly how each and every thing is going to affect game dynamic, and we should not be hasty with throwing several things into the game which will affect dynamic.

If we as an administration team, going to be more active from this point on, I think we are actually on the right track. Start sitting down and start debating things. We have to caution ourselves being too hasty to throw in quick short sighted fixes to problems. We should rather start issuing regular weekly updates bit by bit so that we can observe how things will actually affect the game individually and then by the next update cycle, we can determine whether or not we are happy with the results and wish to keep the change in place.

Putting in too many changes in a single update can be detrimental, and frustrating to players. We have done this more than once, and almost always, the community has let us know time and again how frustrating it can be for them.

As a matter of fact, that is in general the message I am getting from you forumers right now. You are frustrated. I am going to urge my bretheren to begin taking a more proactive, and planned out approach to game updates.

Lets all cool our heels for a while about it, and make things a little easier on ourselves and eachother on the matter.

I have to go to band rehearsals now, but Ill be back this evening to discuss and pull strings as needed.

Thank you all for your patience and understanding in such chaotic times! :)

Ok, so here is a nice excercise for you: 20 boosters, let's say 10 are not farming and 10 are farming 5 players each. so they really boost like 20+10*5=70. now, you enforce those amazingly genious rules:
assume no booster left the game(...). now you only get 20 boosting players. your amazing move just costed BD 5/7=70% of the income.
i hope that all the non-donators can compensate for this loss of income.

btw, i don't think that those are the numbers, but i used them to show you how ridiculous your post is.

About the crystal, I just realized that crystal farming would be INCREASED with this new update.

If you need 20 power to get a crystal and you're usually a rank 50 person, chances are, most people by that time aren't much stronger than you (if you start from tick 1).

If you need 40 power to get a crystal and you're usually a rank 50 person, chances are, most people by that time would be WAY stronger than you (if you start from tick 1). Thats cuz some people just grow fast and by the time the average member of that era gets a crystal, the fast growing people would just be maybe double the 40 power.
