You can win 1000 tokens! Now that I got your attention I'll move on to how:

Michael gave me permission to let the players design the next galaxy 4 map!
I can’t promise that it will be exactly the same as the winner because it has to be possible for our designer to make a world out of it. But we’ll try to get as close up to it as possible!

I’ll give you an example of how it can be done, the current on was based on a picture like:

Then in the end it ended up like this:

Any of these three stages are ok, we’re just looking for the best design possible for most fun possible!

And to make it even more fun I’m handing out 1000 tokens to the winner, doesn’t that sound like fun?

IMPORTANT: in your post it has to say where the colonies can be placed, and where they can't!
And it has to be possible to make a map similar to the second picture I posted. So don't just throw up a cool pic, think about how well you can play on it.

Ok here is my idea.

It is a meteor belt (picture below) and you can only plant castles on the meteors. Outposts are space stations and can be placed anywhere on the map.

OPTIONAL ADD ON If possible make the meteors move around, each tick they move slighty.

The comment above me has misread what is asked, you are to create a map layout, not create new gameplay.

The Rift

the black areas are the places were colonys can be place
the reds area are the rocks on the map

however were the rocks are colonys can be placed inbetween them

there is also an area right in the middle for a few colony and for the admin to be placed if he wishes

The white parts are asteroid belts and the rest will be space where you can build on. The metal/oil mines will be on the asteroid belts and the asteroid belts vary in width. But since my seashore screwed up,they all look the same on the picture.

I just want to point out that you don't have to base it on a space picture, you can just make something in paint as well, showing where there will be astroids and where people can make colonies.

Red - Asteroids
Orange - Small space out of asteroids where you can't place colonies.
Yellow - Can place colonies
