Well god cannot be evil, since he is a non existent entity, solely based on belief :D

But yeah, religious authorities are purely created by humans, so they are evil too, since they wield considerable power when it comes to influencing and mobilizing people.

Thought of the day: apparently, mods don't like flame wars quite so much.

Anyone with power is evil in some way or another, because
1. Around 99% of people who had/have power had to step over someone to get it.
2. Using power in any way will hurt someone. That is guaranteed.

So I guess it depends on your point of view. All governments have been evil to someone at some point in time. But evil is not a black and white thing. Some governments are mostly good, and I think that with mankind, mostly good is as good as you're gonna get.

As for god...I've avoided thinking about it. From a logical or scientific standpoint, the whole concept of god as anything more than a figment of imagination that you can rely on doesn't make sense. But religions...meh. I'm not religious at all so I can't speak in an unbiased manner, but there have been religions that have done evil things to help spread faith. Gold God and Glory, anyone?

Except for a few mods, the other ones dont really know what they like and what they dont like. Therefore sometimes even arguments can be considered flame wars and I have seen it happen. Sometimes people get warned for going "off-topic" on a thread. And a lot of people who were mods, who made good mods have actually quit, as far as I have seen.

Have to agree with the rest of the stuff you wrote :) Every religion by the way is evil. Especially Christianity and Islam that have done the most damage.

I'm pretty sure that this convo went off-topic.

Although I sorta just keeping on posting after getting that 'off topic warning'. I mean, what are they going to do, ban me for going off topic? wtf?

Yeah, I agree, the regulations on this forum are ridiculous. Restrictions need to be more lax...and I don't think that language warnings make sense when you don't pass the filter. I also think pg 13 is stupid. I'm pretty sure that that's what's keeping most of the community from forum atm.

Getting back on topic, I came across this story from Reuters recently which poses the exact point I was trying to make about the super committee, in that it will just become another cog in the corporate revolving door in Washington. I knew full well that the puppets put into these offices would be special interest croneys (although admittedly, I had hoped to see at LEAST one honest member on the panel..in vein obviously)...Anyway, have a read. Then do some research for yourself whom these committee members have taken hand outs from and how much, and then realize that these people are charged with coming up with 2 trillion in cuts during campaign season (when the handouts come rolling in from special interests). Who do you think they are going to take from? ...When federal funding for your local schools, basic services, community programs, law enforcement and other vital assets in our communities are pulled, and 401k and pension programs are pillaged under this committee, and the special interests get MORE handouts, bailouts and free money from our own pockets and turn record profits quarter after quarter...just remember I urged you to think and talk about these things!

have a read. We HAVE to at least talk about it. Tell our friends and families and get them to pay attention too! If we cant muster enough guts to even do that, then freedom and our way of life is eventually lost (at the rate things have been going, much sooner than later). The corporate fascists have won. We gotta wake up our loved ones man. I know most people just dont want to think about it, or want to chalk it up as a loss because its hopeless...look at the history of our country. Freedom is NOT a spectator sport, and there will ALWAYS be those who wish to take it away from us. The fact that we have been sitting pretty for a while does not change that. We gotta start showing some guts man. Be passionate about freedom!

http://rt.com/usa/news/super-committee-debt-lobbyists-234/

Also, please take note of the fact that the special interest media in the USA right now is going VERY far out of it's way to try and convince the people that someone like Ron Paul stands no chance, and are trying to ignore him.

I mean, you HAVE to have noticed, right? Hell, even John Stewart noticed!

Do NOT buy their lies! THIS is where we can show our power over THEM for a change! The very fact that they try so damned hard to ignore and oust this man speaks volumes to the fact that they are scared crapless of him, and for good reason! They cannot buy him! This makes him dangerous to the status quo. Like I said, the "it is hopeless" illusion is just that. An illusion. They want to convince you that it is hopeless so you wont vote, and wont care and will carry on being ignorant. They are banking on it!

WAKE UP! Your vote counts! Vote out the corporate special interests and vote in some freedom and compassion for our constitution for a change. You dont have to respect each and every thing Paul says, but you have to respect, as an american, the fact that he WILL NOT budge on matters regarding constitutional law. In a day and age where the government is breaking the law every day, and is not even trying to hide it anymore because no one cares enough to pay attention, It is more important than ever!!!!

Think for yourself, but make sure you educate yourself about what you are thinking about ;) You do not have to listen to me, just make sure you care enough about all of this to REALLY look into it for yourself!

It is not just Fox News. It is all of the big mainstream media outlets. They are ALL owned and operated by special interest groups that really dont like Ron because they cant buy him. Thats why.

Fox news is a corporate entity just like CNN and NBC etc, and the plain fact of the matter is, that if you dig deep enough, you are going to find that the ones whom these corporate enteties favor are those whom they know they can buy and pay for.

You see, for quite a while now, lobbying has become a staple part of government, as well as what is commonly referred to as the "revolving door" of capital hill. Basically this means that the people who come into politics with the backing of corporations are also former chairmen or high ranking officials within those same corporate bodies. Often times (again, you can research this for yourself) these people come out of politics and go right back to work for the corporations and even in some cases repeat the process 3 or 4 times. This is especially true with the federal reserve and the banks & wall street conglomerates.

So, in a nutshell, to answer your question, because he is not a corporate sellout like the others are. They fear him because they know that they cannot just line his pockets and expect him to do as so many others now do, and pass and advocate legislation for the special interests.

A good example is Michelle Bachman. She is a big favorite of these people because she comes from the Federal Reserve attack dogs, The Internal Revenue Service (IRS). Yep. She was an IRS enforcer, which means that she was one who rode along with the teams sent by the IRS to raid the homes of those whom were accused of not paying taxes. She walked into the homes of pillaged families, cataloged and inventoried the assets and seized them.

What is really hilarious about this is that she is out there trying to convince people now that she is suddenly against the IRS, wants it shut down and and the only reason she ever worked for them was so she could "get to know the enemy". That is the most laughable because she wasnt just some desk jockey. She was, as stated, and enforcer. She participated in raids. Just the kinda person you want overseeing your home and assets too eh?
I dont believe a word that comes out of this creepy womans mouth, any more than I do rick perry.

Rick Perry is another one. Heck, just look into the man. Check his cohorts and his voting histories. He is just another one of those "say one thing, do another" politicians just like Obama. The type of guy that will say anything to get into office and then give you 4 years + of excuses why he cant keep his promises.

Remember Obama's campaign mottos? "Change We Can Believe In" and "Yes We Can"? His big platforms were ending the wars because we cannot afford to keep fighting them, getting the fiscal house in order, and closing guantanamo bay?

Do you think he would have still been elected if he stood up there and said "I am going to promise to end the wars in afghanistan and iraq, and not really do it. Not only am I not going to do it, but I am going to oversee that we actually pay MORE for the war in Iraq by shipping the soldiers from there to afghanistan, and pay 100 times as much to have private contractors like blackwater get paid 6 figure salaries to do the same job. Also, not only will these conflicts carry on endlessly, but we will also end up in another conflict for which I will NOT ask you or congress permission to commit us (libya), AND possibly, through the UN, get us involved in a 4th conflict (syria).

Oh, one more thing. I know I said I would close Guantanamo, but I changed my mind. Also, through all of these efforts, you will pay trillions more and you and your children and your childrens children will pay for this for decades, because I will completely bypass congressional law to form an illegal congressional super committe after almost completely ruining your economy to make a political point that you need to be prepared to sacrifice more of your own money to fund all of the above, or else we will default on our payments as a country that YOU share the burden of."

Back then, the media ignored Ron Paul too, and he was saying all of the same things. They dismissed him as "unelectable". Well, turns out that people remembered him saying all of these things, and now they are starting to see that he was right. Therefore, I think this "ignore the problem and it will go away" is starting to backfire on them because people are seeing it and recognizing it. This creates a disconnect in credibility, and most people just aren't buying it anymore.

Therefore, you see people like Rick Perry come into the arena that start talking just like Ron Paul does, except for one thing. He gets coverage, and the man who started the whole movement still does not. This tells me that he is going to be the same type of big promises, no follow through politician as Obama.

Man, I just watched a video, where if a Truck in Iraq used for military transport gets punctured, they dont change the tires. They buy a new truck and blow up the old one. Not old one, its perfectly new, they just blow it up. :o And these are very costly trucks!! Of course its not the american govt, its the corporates that do it.

Apart from that, seems dirty politics is the same everywhere :? And shame on these channels. Now I know why I hate CNN and the rest of these so called big news channels.
