USA spends the most amount of money per capita on healthcare, yet still only rank 38th in the world... (but that was a while back, i think a couple years)
The problem is that not only spending money on health care will do it.
As you said before USA has the largest rate in obesity and drugs rate. This just is another indication on how disastrous most people on USA leads there life (with some exceptions of course). Cafeterias on schools in the USA need to give the students a certain number of servings of each group of food. This is all good and nice when you actually see what is considered a "serving" take for example salads, they are to give them 2 servings of salads, but a serving of salad is considered ketchup. If I put ketchup on a hamburger would it count as salad? yes it does.
This is the kind of diet that children get use to, and they probably carry on this to adulthood. Spending money in health care is just one part. How you expect to have a good health if you don't educate people to care for themselves?
but we all know that the government telling people to eat healthy is socialistic oppression! they want to control what you eat otherwise the death squads will come after you.
http://www.nytimes.com/2010/03/13/educa ... texas.htmlUSA needs proper education first, their military might be tops, their universities might be to die for, but the average guy coming from... this... wont be able to properly do much other then menial tasks and vote against socialistic nonsense. again, i prefer to blame the US politics in general, they are kicking thomas jefferson out of public school curriculum because he wasnt conservative...
texas might be one state, but they write the textbooks. this is just going to kick the education in states over america in the balls.
perhaps this is off topic, but it all rings in. a deep rooted fear of communists flying in and taking over USA because it has legalised gay marriage or gives poorer people a chance or allows those that are disadvantaged to access hospitals.
