like i mentioned before, USA is lagging considerably behind in terms of healthcare.

they get the LEAST bang for their buck. they put more money into healthcare then most countries but lag behind countries like cuba AND CHILE. (chile is probably the only well off SA country)

Texas is about to reform their public education process to make it "more conservative" doing so will corrupt their textbook supplier industry meaning all US states will suffer.

its well known USA has a poor education system, top notch facilities, the best universities, but the inbetween has been sacrificed for political gain.

China has more A+ students then USA has students... this should put into perspective who the next generation of people will work for.

its this constant scare of communism that means the government cant coordinate or do its job, republicans go on and on about how government doesnt work and concentrate efforts to prove themselves right.

imo, usa has the WORST kind of politics.

Costa Rica has had Free Health Care since WAY a long time ago (Around 1940 I think).

We are a third class country. Literally, most of the country is jungle. Still we beat USA on health care. Costa Rica has the second longest live expectation on the world after japan at 82.5 years.

I can't explain myself how a third-class-jungle-poor country can run a health care when a country rich in resources like USA can't. Here you get even cancer surgery for free. And I insist the government has financial losses of 4%, we owe our souls in the international market, and still we manage to do something as simple as a free health care service.

USA should be ashamed, I agree, there presidents has no heart nor do they have brain, they don't care for their people and they can't even implement a system a poor country which lived out of exporting bananas and cafe for a really long time can. Of course those times where left behind around the 80s but bananas still provide a high amount of our exports.

its easy to just bag the president. but i think its deeper then that. USA currently leads in obesity rates, high rate of smoking, drug use is higher because it is easier to get money and thus purchase drugs...

but a lot has to do with a deep rooted fear of socialism. the government CANT run things properly because some people are paralyzed from fear that the soviets will then invade!

But then, if the US Gov't cut military spending by 25% and put that money into Educaton and Healthcare, that'd be a huge improvement too.

if i read what say in the CIA world factbook 4.06% of their GDP go to military, make that 3 and you got lots of extra money.
put into the equation that the GDP is $14.26 trillion (2009 est.) then u see what kind of money you are dealing with

USA spends the most amount of money per capita on healthcare, yet still only rank 38th in the world... (but that was a while back, i think a couple years)

The problem is that not only spending money on health care will do it.

As you said before USA has the largest rate in obesity and drugs rate. This just is another indication on how disastrous most people on USA leads there life (with some exceptions of course). Cafeterias on schools in the USA need to give the students a certain number of servings of each group of food. This is all good and nice when you actually see what is considered a "serving" take for example salads, they are to give them 2 servings of salads, but a serving of salad is considered ketchup. If I put ketchup on a hamburger would it count as salad? yes it does.

This is the kind of diet that children get use to, and they probably carry on this to adulthood. Spending money in health care is just one part. How you expect to have a good health if you don't educate people to care for themselves?
