Yeah, big post wanted to get as much out there in 1 go as possible, really. The lack of coherent, plausible response would indicate that the topic should probably be closed, unless they can put forth a very compelling case soon-ish

Jaxonfish. Check the date of the last post, and reference it to your date. The discussion had already ended a month ago.

Oh, I never noticed. I figured since it was only about 5 threads down it was still being discussed.
I am used to forums in which people are actually active, and the entire first page of threads is actually on going discussions.

On the BD forum, if a topic is old that means all points have been made, or either me or ducky have come in an killed the opposition with our liberal nonsense.
*High-Fives ducky*
Debates aren't meant to last forever. However things like evolution, abortion, and socialism seem to be hot button topics that pop up every month or so. All opinions are expressed and people generally say the same thing they did the last 3 times there was an evolution, abortion, or socialism topic.
Honestly I just stop posting after it hits 6 pages. That's when people come in with stuff like,"Wow a lot of people have posted, lol 6 pages. Im not gonna read them all I'm just gonna repeat opinions already made 17 times by 12 different people.
Word to the wise. If you don't wanna read the first 6 pages, don't join the thread. At least that's my opinion.

Short and sweet:
I am not a christian but the theory of Evolution period, not just human evolution states that things change due to their environment because that change was needed. Thus implying the previous one would no longer exist because its traits were not suitable for what was needed in the branch of life.
Therefor if a creature exists today, then you would say it is not DIRECTLY related in evolution. Thats how the theory works. Except for some reason we want to keep the monkey one alive...when we debunk others like the lizard and the alligator.
Heres a theory of evolution: A ancient reptile evolved into the animal we now call the lizard due to this and this.
Thats the way we generally use it. But since the monkey theory is so widely accepted...we dont play by the same rules.
