Personal computer = PC

Windows = operating system
Linux = operating system
Mac = PC made by apple

Saying "mac vs PC" is like saying "orange vs fruit".

And then adding "and no linux" is like adding "and no bananas"

but mac and PC are so much different. so its like saying apple vs orange. and linux is pear. always pear.

Mac (Macintosh series of personal computers) - Personal computer made by Apple
PC - Personal computer - a generic name for the device

MAC OS X- The operating system on a Mac PC.
Windows - An operating system from Microsoft
Linux - An operating system that is open source. It has different flavors.

An operating system is a software. A PC is a piece of hardware. Hope that is clear ^^

Heh. Mac often refers to a Macintosh computer and PC to a windows/linux based computer.

A mac _kind_ of is a PC and the proper way of putting it would be "Apple computers vs other computers" but it's still pretty clear.

And it depends. If money isn't an issue - get a mac. Apple is God-Emperor of hardware quality. It's way overpriced but that doesn't take away that it's the nose of the salmon, so to say.

Macs are usually extremely well crafted.

If you're not rich, get a PC. You get way more bang for your buck and in most cases you won't notice the difference.

because most of you seem to think MAC is same as PC. mac does everything different.

mac cant run exe files. you need to pay hundreds to get windows on mac. and mac makes everything look different. mac has safari. PC has internet explorer.

so many differences

You're so wrong.

PC isn't an operating system, it's a personal computer. It can run Linux, Windows and why yes also Mac OS X. Given a bit hacked.

Same for mac.

And if you'd like to discuss software - You can use IE on Mac OS X and Safari on Windows 8. There's really fairly little differences in features, most of the differences are in UI or the backlying systems.
