Bigger population? Bigger and more fields of solar/turbines... Granted population density has a large part to play, but that doesn't mean they should just say "*CENSORED* it" and not even try to generate a large percentage of their electricity from renewable sources.

I am not saying quit on it. Am saying that the needs might be too much to go for solar energy. But we need to put more into research to make systems more efficient, smaller, cheaper.

actually, on a super polluted region like Beijing in China... solar energy is kinda... not recommended...

nuclear fusion is like having a small sun in a building. Also, if the reaction is let loose even a little bit all the hydrogen in the air will react too and destroy the worl fission is much safer.

There are other methods

There are electric devices that power themselves while Oslo doing a task

Many aren't used because they are difficult to keep at a constant
Meaning if it starts then what ever the initial start up is then that is the constant

And with such an uncertain variable the resisters can't accurately Sufice the fiction hinge the reason we don't research them to the extinct of producing a plays able outcome

That is actually not true. Fusion reactors require very precise magnetic field parameters, pressure, and temperature. If the reactor is damaged even a bit, then one of these fails, and instead of a catastrophic meltdown as would be possible with nuclear fission, the chain reaction stops and effectively shuts itself down.

The difference between nuclear fission and nuclear fusion is that with nuclear fission they are trying to keep it COOLED. So when the coolers fail, the temperature keeps climbing and it overloads at a given point. With nuclear fusion what they do is keep it on an even level. If it deviates from that level it shuts itself down.

Cities: increased fuel economy, increased public transport (big one, esp if its efficient and people actually dont mind using it, a single train = hundreds of people, when packed, a thousand of people aka. cars off the road.) increase bike use for a healthier populace. its not really penalizing fossil fuels thats important, its giving incentive to move away from them.
urban: public transport is key in urban spread. solar power rebates encourage solar powers on roofs that help lower the strain on the power grid.

industry: a lot harder since to smelt steel or manufacture goods, a lot of energy is used. i suggest for the time being to funnel money into research regarding catalysts and new innovative methods. but ultimately most of industry relies upon power which they get from the grid

power generation: a country like china? definitely get some nuclear reactors up, its the only way to help combat the coal power station a week buildathon needed to keep up with their growth. however, nuclear powerplants take 5 years to build and an additional 5 years to pay back the energy needed to make them.

the big one
countries paying other countries to protect their rainforests. trees are massive carbon sinks and in order to reach certain goals, many countries, imo, should buy off some rainforests. some rainforests have large mineral reserves underneath so incentive to not burn down the rainforest, turn into farmlands and roads and dig it up for its goodness would be to pay them to maintain the rainforest. this is especially important for developing nations who dont have the incentive to "protect the enivronment" when their people are starving and poor.

also, you can actually plant a massive amount of trees as carbon sinks of the future.

Green fuel energy may be the sustainable energy form but we need also look into containing current polution by minimizing fuel wastage or burning fuel on the street.

The most basic for it to be achieved is by improving public transportation system to cater for the mass public. This can only work if the networks are well link to all locations with efficient service and cheap, at cost. Else, people couldn't be bothered to use public transports.

Reducing vehicles on the road will give a great push to a cleaner environment. A well planned policy will make the individual transport system such as cars as luxury option.

Education in long run will make the use of public transport as a choice out of our own commitment towards better world for our younger generation, not as a force option due to cost or restrictive goverment policies.

First of all the power generation issue needs to be dealt with.

Hot countries: Build massive
solar panels fields.

Cold countries: Build wind turbines.

Coastal countries: Build off shore tidal turbines.

I would say Scotland is a good example of a Country with these goals in mind. By 2020 they aim to have 100% of their electricity needs produced by renewables. Obviously ambitious, but going down the right road.

Polution from cars is a big problem too obviously, but I do believe we are heading in the right direction with that already. Not necessarily with the new electric cars that are coming out these days. But there is enough drive and funding for the researchers to eventually come up with a viable solution eventually.

There are tonnes of other things we do that essentially may be speeding up the clock on our planet. But maybe by the time things get so bad that we have to move planets, we could be able to do that. Who knows.

You are absolutely right.. We need to make best use of renewable sources of energy and reduce our dependency on fossil fuels..

apart from the fact that u posted on a 7 months old thread, the only reason why a renewable sources of energy is preferred is cuz it will provide a sustainable sources of energy and thus u won't have to worry about resources running out. However, all these "renewable" sources of energy always bring around the same amount of pollution, thus they aren't green.

they are renewable, yes, green, no.
