i could pick up Sun Tzu's art of war scroll and declare it god's work. does that make it so? for all we know thats what a group of people did 2000 years ago with the bible. As for miracles consider this, there are 7 billion people on the planet, each and every one making a decision every moment. these decisions have results, and every once in a while these results are seen as god's actions. And demons, i can give a sick person sugar pills and tell him its the cure to his headache, next thing you know his headache will be gone. its a mental thing.
The actual date may be unknown, but it was commonly believed to be in the summer thus the phrase "Christmas in july"

prophecies? really good guessers lol, nah jk. Who says its not just the next stage of evolution? people with the ability to see glimpses of the future, or people in the future have invented time travel, went back and told of disasters in an attempt to prevent them, but were dismissed as rumors and witchcraft and whatnot.
Decisions can make the whole difference, for example choosing to walk 1.5 feet to the left could allow you to only be hit by a small part of an out of control car rather then much more of it. or by choosing to reproduce with a certain person, your offspring will have a stronger immune system and be able to overcome illnesses others would die fighting.
And an insane person (or your possessed sole) would be more willing to believe then another, they're far more willing to believe because they are in the wrong state of mind.
