Religion is not a belief system. Religion is just a set of rules and regulations written by man. Religion is tied to the principle of a higher power is all. If you separate God from religion, it just translates to set of man made rules and regulations.

Thats just the mayority of religions, really. Tell me, are there common-sense things that everyone should obey? Like, not kill a child passing by just cause he was chewing gum with his mouth open? Well, some religions only follow that kind of rules. True, most religions in the past have been used for political reasons (biggest example = Catholic church), but I dont believe religion was founded for that purpose. I think that, like EVERYTHING that man enters contact with (even ourselves), we twist, bend and corrupt.

What I actually meant is... religions mit be made to co-exist but once there were two heads who thought they were themselves superior and wont give in though causing a racistic view, while if the heads want to co-exist and share their common beliefs , but the followers are creating a mess and fighting with each other non-stop... there is no evidence supporting a particular god's existence.
gods are inherently metaphysical making such evidence difficult to discern.
with all things being equal, remove the superfluous entity.
occams razor - there is no god.
there is no need for god. naturalistic explanations are either adequate now, or adequate in the future.

I'd like to give my opinion, please.

I've always looked at religion as a way of having a basic, underlying set of principles, values, beliefs, laws and rules, structure and order. I've always looked at it like a default template for culture, in a way.

As countries have developed and advanced, it's becoming less and less necessary to really NEED religion. It's shifting towards the area where it just becomes a simple opinion/belief. Kinda like whether or not you believe in other life in the universe, or something else like that.

I'm Christian. F*ck all the different sub-categories/sects/ whatever the hell you call them. I like Jesus, he got nailed to a cross to save me from sins or whatever - God's alright, too. Kinda makes some f*cked up calls at times but I'd imagine it's a tough job overseeing everything in the whole universe.

That's just me though. I don't need any supreme being guiding my every move. I think it's cool thinking they're around, somewhere, but I'm gonna go on and live my life the way I want it.

This topic annoys me. The amount of people with a lack of understanding about God or what being a Christian is all about is shocking. Im not just talking about certain people who have already commented on this, but the people who have yet to learn enough to really make a choice in what they believe in.

Today's Christians at least in some parts of the Modern Church will tell you that Christianity is not marked in this box that a lot of people put it in called "Religion"

God is real. Im not here to push people one way or the other. I let you have your own opinion and belief so have the same respect for me.
