Holy cow..... can't believe people would do that, that's so horrible

Welcome, sonny, to the war. Look at Vietnam; 2/3 of the soldiers come back mentally disabled. The exact same thing happens in every war; including the current ones.

Personally, I don't blame these guys doing that. Yes, it's totally 100% wrong but for THEM, in order to not feel to guilty about killing so many people they must dehumanize them in whatever way possible. The sad thing is, both you and I would have the exact same thing in their situation.

As Dia said, yeah I do think you're dramatizing the situation juuussstt a tad with the title..Psychopathic killers cut people open every day, does this make you lose faith in your father?

Murder has become so common that it's almost to be expected, what with gun control, gang activity, drugs, organized crime etc.



However, US soldiers pissing on dead Taliban members? I think killing them is enough.



Murder could never be as degrading or vile as this. It's a double whammy, hey let's kill them and then urinate on them.

Heh. Well what can I say. I saw another video where Army Rangers, had shot an Iraqi civilian. and then opened up his skull and are holding his brains in their hand. Sick (Want to be allies? Sometimes I like to pretend I am a princess riding a pony..). I couldn't sleep for a day. You see these kind of occurrences are present everywhere there is violence. So you need not hate on the US army. They are just like everyone else. I have read accounts where Israeli female officers beat up Palestinians (You do know how much Arabs expect to be respected especially by women and therefore its humiliating) or IDF kills soldiers, I have read reports where Indian Border Security Force personnel, rampage homes, rape women and randomly strip search women, the Chinese torturing its own citizens etc etc

The point am trying to make is that War causes subjugation of a particular group. Subjugation causes racism. Racism causes hatred, which makes people dehumanize the weak. When you have your boot on someones neck, you need to be able to hate to do that. You will see this trend in EVERY war. We saw it in WW2, during the holocaust, we saw in the Iraqi invasion, we see it in the Israel Palestine conflict. The only solution, is to end wars. Wars drive people insane. These same guys will probably come back with PTSD and then regret when they did later on. Who knows.

This is why I dont respect this bullcrap about serving in the army being something of a thing of pride anymore.

I see your point. But I think you might be looking at it the wrong way. Put a gun in a man's hands, people to shoot, and permission to shoot. The power and temptation are well... tempting. End power if you want that to end. Ending war isn't the solution, war will just not end no matter what. No guns, they use knives. No knives, they use their fists. No fists they use words and propaganda. It's a never ending cycle.

The problem is open hatred which is caused by war. Think about this. How frequently have you seen the terms raghead, towel head etc in the media? Anti Arab racism is probably the only kind of racism that we can talk about openly today. We feel its justified to hate on those people because of what we have been fed through the media. When in reality, we are the ones attacking them and doing more than they ever did to us. This creates racism. The violent hateful kind.

In the army, yes if you give a person the permission to shoot, he will feel justified to shoot. Even army people who have come back, have admitted that racism is a big motivation in Iraq. And put a gun in their hands and give them permission to shoot, then you wont be able to avoid such things. Therefore you gotta end violence. For things to get better.
