You cannot have people post a reason, if they would rather not say that is there opinion.
Oh and rob I dont think you speak for the entire community, I would rather here them individually opposed to you speaking for everyone.
I like the idea, but it deystroy's the freedom to choose not to post. It is also hard to enforce and it would be harder to get a appropriate vote count.

I voted no for 2 reasons.
1. This is already being discussed. 2. YOU MUST ALWAYS have a tweak option, otherwise its just not fair. And you get a no vote, for something I could have said tweak on

This has already been discussed (refer to this thread) and you have already been told that it will not happen, since it's not democratic. People shouldn't need to say 'why' they don't like it, they should are allowed to just not like it and shouldn't have to explain themselves. If this was implemented, everything would pass because most no voters don't want to explain and really don't want to.
I have not seen any suggestions fail to pass due to trolls within the last couple of months and I'm confident it will stay that way. If anything, the trolls are keeping suggestions destined for the accepted forum open for longer, allowing for deeper discussion and in the end, a better idea. Let me to quote:

The idea was accepted but never implemented. This forum is run as a democracy, not a selective democracy where players or moderators get to judge the validity of another person's opinion.
I see no reason to decline the community what they want based on the OPINION of a head mod. This is the community's forums, where we express our opinion. If we want to change the rules around, then let us. Especially if everyone wants it.
Just because Tom says something does not mean it is written in stone and forever worshipped. Things change, and change is good. No matte rhow much times this is accepted, rejected, or neglected, it will continue to come up until mods drop their pride and respect the community's opinion.
Also, this isnt about the trolls, please go back and re-read my post.
What makes you so sure that just because people have to click a post button it will make them "think" about their vote? 'I don't like it' is a valid reason, forcing people to post will not make them 'think' about their vote anymore than clicking the button. All that this will do is create unnecessary rules which will essentially lose us voters, smart and not so smart.
As I said earlier, if a suggestion deserves to be accepted it will. The few no votes simply add a short delay.

I say no, simply it's against the written rules of BD forum
Spoiler:
This is a troll rules, not actual rules so don't flame me :3
Quote:
1: For every suggestion, there must be at least one unexplained 'no' vote, no exceptions.
2: For every competition, there must be a resulting flamewar.
3: For every game, there must be at least one person who takes it way too seriously.
4: Noobs suck.
5: There is no girl on the forum
6: Rules #6 is a lie
7: Combo breakers are inevitable. If the combo is completed successfully, it is gay.
8: Spam is a religion
9: Do not argue with a troll — it means that they win.
10: Rule 14 is true
11: Everything u say will be changed into something else - fixed
12: If u failed epicly, it's a win.
13: Every repost is a repost of a repost
14: Rule 10 is false. OH SH-
15: Relation of the original topic decrease with every single post
16: Any topic can be changed into something totally unrelated
17: All ur carefully picked argument can be easily ignored
Joking aside, I agree that it's very frustrating to see a no vote without a reason. But I also agree that we can't force people to speak their mind. I think this is wat we must accept though.

yes nobody should troll, but that is in an ideal forum community, unfortunately not always possible. Just by making them reply something dont mean they will think it through.

You guys are missing the point. This is NOT to go against trolling, honestly, I could care less if a topic gets accepted or not. My point is if people who vote no leave it at that and do not post, we are making no progress.
But when someone does vote no and gives a reason, a flaw to the idea, it gives the maker a chance to tweak it, and make it better. Thus increasing the amount of thought that goes into it, not from one person, but from the community. It makes thee suggestions, truly community made, each one will be a collaboration of community thought.
