Question for any that are atheist How can you be a atheist and believe in a afterlife and a soul.

well the afterlife is hopeful thinking on my end. as for the soul i believe in it as that's my assumption as to what spirits/ghosts are which there is enough proof of. soooo...

Excluding pretty much all organized religion, there's no correlation between a soul, an afterlife, and god. Atheism is the disbelief of gods, not the disbelief of an afterlife or the disbelief of souls shelton.
