Nononono, you're all looking at this the wrong way.. There is a HUGE difference between an execution and a murder.
Yes, Gaddafi was a TERRIBLE man and should have been
killed, but he should NOT have been murdered. What should have happened is him getting captured, trialed in Libya and executed after being found guilty.
- Think about it. If he was murdered:
An inquiry is put in, (the killer might be jailed?) people do NOT get to see the guy go through the court and get the satisfaction of seeing justice served. All they see is a half dead guy and a body.
- If he was captured:
He would have been jailed. (That instantly makes the civs in Libya feel more satisfied then just seeing his body) he would then be trialed. A jury would then be called and he would be put on trial, told what his crimes were on international TV and then, given the death penalty, before being hanged.
Now THINK ABOUT IT! Which would have given the mothers of dead soldiers more relief that what their sons had died had been achieved? What would make the people more relieved that the tyrant had been killed? What would have given Libya a better reputation in the eyes of the international countries?
Murdering Gaddafi was damn stupid and I'm quite pissed that some overexcited bastard decided to kill him. ^_^
