Why do you feel the need to show that homosexuality isn't a choice?

If it was a choice, would that make it any less valid?

If somebody chose to be homosexual, should they be punished for that choice?

Choice or not should have no bearing on the argument whatsoever.

An active example? Religion isn't genetic, it's a choice.

good point.

Some would say that religion is not a choice though. You are the religion you were born into, whether you like it or not.

Sure, people might feel that way, but governments often don't.

In those countries where they make you mark your religion in your passport, you often can't change it once it's declared.

matters not, if they call you lets say, egyptian god worshipper, it doesnt make you an egyptian god worshipper, religion brings with it beliefs, values and traditions.
while one might not be a fundamentalist, they cant force you to practice faith.
religion still isnt genetic though~~

Ok, clearly you guys have no idea of how taxes work.

Lets put this another way.

Currently, how many people buy marijuana from drug dealers?
How many people grow their own?
which is cheaper?

growing your own unless you get caught, if you grow enough cannabis to sell and get caught then you are screwed, drug dealers take this risk for you and in return get BONUS PROFITS.

back to topic.
i lost the site, but daganev provided a link before.

250 million spent to combat same sex marriage.
let me repeat
$250 million US. in an attempt by predominately christian and traditional family groups to stop same sex marriage.

Drugs are easy to tax, not because it is hard to grow them (although some are) but because people the legality of buying it vs. the illegality of growing it without a license would deter people from growing; the small amount of care needed to grow it yourself is enough work to deter many people from growing.

Those two reasons right there are more than enough to make drugs into a taxable good.

As for being homosexual, I have some homosexual friends and they all say it isn't a choice. Personally I think girls are just too awesome for me to be homosexual, but then again, that isn't my choice either... thats just how it is.
