True... People would switch to atomic. Atomic and nuclear are similar but not the same as many people think, nukes shock waves are larger, but the initial blast is not as destructive.
Whaaatt??? You do understand that an Atomic bomb is a nuclear weapon dont you

LOL no. Its the same. There are 2 types of nuclear weapons.
One is called the Atomic Bomb aka Fission Bomb that uses Nuclear Fission as the way to cause destruction. It is the most common and the easiest to achieve. Nuclear fission is a nuclear reaction in which the nucleus of an atom splits into smaller parts producing free neutrons and photons and releasing a tremendous amount of energy in the form of heat, and light.
The other is a Thermonuclear bomb or a Fission-Fusion Bomb, that uses Nuclear Fission and Fusion to cause destruction. Nuclear fusion is the process by which two or more atomic nuclei join together, or "fuse", to form a single heavier nucleus. This is usually accompanied by the release or absorption of large quantities of energy in the form of heat and light.
Usually its said that Fission is more destructive because of all the nuclear radiation. These are the only 2 types of Nuclear weapons available today.
