Its only disappointing because about 80 players promised to be active for the round and only about 25 actually came to play seriously.

well if I hadn't told u on forum PM u wouldn't even notice M2 has reset at all though
I believe the problem with it was the time it took to prepare was too long, by the time it began, ppl have already lost interests in, or have forgotten the actual era itself.
not to mention by making us following rules, it forced us to, more or less, change the way we usually play. And the fact that the rules aren't very clear itself have made quite a few ppl stressed out, with xVx being the clearest example.
About "Pete breaking the rules", nope. We had a talk with Kenny about this problem, and that is:
- If we, as in the LAMP alliance, still wanted to keep on playing and still wanted to aim for rank 1, then LAMP is still counted as an event team hence CPM would not be able to take Pete, and Pete would be forced to play with LAMP
- However, if we all gave up, then LAMP would be disregarded as an event team, and CPM could take Pete, or anyone they wanted. This case is the same as xVx members as well.
After that, some of the LAMP members still wanted to keep on playing, but in the end we all disbanded, and some of the players were picked up by other alliances.
In short, LAMP resigned and all LAMP members were free to take. So Pete joining CPM was not a rule breaker at all.
(Although I don't really like changing or adding to the rules while playing, but well nothing is perfect)
