I get mad too u know, but that's not an excuse to swear
and again, if u want to, do it privately, this is the public place, and we don't allow it.

they don't reduce pain, though researches show that swearing will increase ur endurance. aister wrote: and again, if u want to, do it privately, this is the public place, and we don't allow it. we don't ban u from smashing ur computer, and be all raging and swearing. We just ask u to behave and be civilized when u're in game and communicating with another player. I said this once a long time ago, and I'll say it again, if censorship is removed in the game, I'll be flooding the game as well as the forum with stuffs that u won't want to see.

Unless you are VERY vulgar or racist, then you don't get banned on the first offense. Youll most certainly get a warning. If you don't heed that warning, and you repeat the offense, you will likely get a temp ban (again, depending on severity). After that, it really is just shame on you.
It is not much to ask. And whether or not it is "natural" is clearly a matter of opinion. In this case, we make it clear that we would rather not have it, and as you can see, many within our community agree.
I could argue that freedom for me would be the freedom to NOT have to listen to you say things I would rather not be exposed to, or have any youngling in my family exposed to.
I think simply refraining is less invasive in the 'overall' sense.

Are you implying that the Democrats platform is any less hypocritical, what with President Dronemaster bombing children left and right all over the world?

We deemed that saying 'F***' was wrong, because it's generally used in a derogatory sense, which we deem offensive. You didn't seem to make a rebuttal to this... which addresses what you just said.

I honestly think that such words, even if they do have a derogatory meaning, are not used with that meaning in mind. Swearing right now is being seen like just a stronger version of "curses!", not actually reminding people of the... happy act that f*** originally alludes to. Though I still disagree with the use of those words on a PG-13 forum, this is the meaning used behind those words, more often than not. If the kid isn't teached that bad meaning, he'll never decipher it, and just take it like the strongest word one uses when hurt or something...

the problem doesn't lie within the meaning of the word, it lies within the culture and the civilized behaviour

aister wrote: the problem doesn't lie within the meaning of the word, it lies within the culture and the civilized behavior i think you can argue that the problem is within the meaning itself. for example if someone was to call me a m***** f*****, i would be offended because i don't like the meaning it carries with it which is obvious. But i guess you can argue that the action in the curse word is something people with civilized behavior don't do...
